Azure DevOps
Built on the official Azure DevOps APIs
DevOps Navigator connects to Azure DevOps Services with the same organization URL and personal access token you already use. All requests are made directly from your browser to Microsoft’s REST APIs.
Projects and teams
Lists projects with avatars and detects the source control type (Git or TFVC) used by each project.
Work items
Runs work item queries, loads details with descriptions and acceptance criteria, and reads comments, revision history, relations and attachments.
Git repositories
Lists repositories and branches, walks source trees, opens file contents and reads commit history.
TFVC
Reads item trees, file contents at any version, changesets and the work items linked to them.
Activity
Combines work item updates, comments and changesets into a single timeline.
Search
Searches work items, comments, changesets and projects from a keyboard-first command palette.
What you need
An Azure DevOps organization URL and a personal access token with read scopes for Work Items, Project and Team, and Code.
What it does not do
No writes of any kind: no creating or editing work items, no pushing code, no check-ins, no configuration changes.
What it does not require
No agent, no installation, no server-side integration and no additional services. It works with Azure DevOps Services (dev.azure.com).
