Terms of service

Effective as of the current release. These terms govern your use of DevOps Navigator. They include placeholders where business or legal details are pending.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using DevOps Navigator (the “Service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

The Service is a free, read-only, client-side dashboard for Azure DevOps Services. It does not host your data: all interactions occur directly between your browser and Microsoft's Azure DevOps APIs, using credentials you provide. The Service is provided “as is” and free of charge.

3. Your credentials and data

You are responsible for the personal access token you provide and for keeping it confidential. Use a token with read-only scopes and a limited expiration. The Service is not liable for unauthorized access to your Azure DevOps account that results from compromised credentials on your device or from reusing a token with broader permissions than the Service requires.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to violate any applicable law, infringe others' rights, or attempt to access Azure DevOps resources that your token does not authorize. You may not scrape, resell or redistribute the Service itself.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The Service depends on third-party services (Microsoft Azure DevOps) that are outside our control.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of the Service shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

7. Changes to the Service and these terms

The Service may change at any time. Updated terms will be published on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

8. Operator information

[Operator name and contact details to be added.] Until then, questions about these terms can be directed to the project's public repository issues.
